GIRL POWER AT SIP AND SHIP Leslie, Samantha, Ellie, Lori and Lindsey - powerhouses in their own right!

No successful business stands alone. A strong team is required; diverse individual employees that bring their own unique strengths to the business culture and experience. Our Sip and Ship team means the world to us. We wanted to take a moment to pull back the curtain to reveal one of our most valuable players, Lindsey Palmquist. We asked her a few questions, and she answered! Here’s a deeper glimpse into her girl power and why she is such an asset to Sip and Ship:
1. If you could be any animal, what would it be and why?
I have an affinity for foxes. They appear a lot in folklore and myth. I'd like to cultivate my slyness and the shadowy traits that foxes sometimes possess, because I can't say I own a lot of that right now.
2. What are your strengths and core competencies?
I'm extremely hard working - almost to a fault. I'm more of an "exceeds expectations" kind of person when a task is set in front of me. I hate leaving things unfinished or half-done. I'm a feelings person and I like to think I have a lot of emotional intelligence.

3. What drives you to do what you do?
I like moving. A desk job would probably kill me. As much as I like routine, I think being surprised by what my day entails is good for my right brain. I like helping. If you have a project or an idea, I want to help you pull it off better than you thought you could.

4. Who inspires you and why/how?
My therapist. She is a super cool lady. I aspire to live more authentically like she does - she is living out her life's calling. If there's one thing I can advocate using this unexpected platform, it's that therapy is a good idea! If you have ever contemplated going, do it! Being vulnerable isn't easy, but it is extremely rewarding if you are ready to do the work. Your inner life deserves as much time and attention as your outer life.

5. How would you describe your profession or job function?
I wear All the Hats. At Sip & Ship, I'm your barista/shipper/notary/baker/cafe manager. I function where there needs functioning. Steve, Diana's husband, calls me his “Coffee Wife.” I resonate with that - it's an important role to play. You start your day with me, I hold a lot of power in operating that espresso machine. I want to help you start your day off right, or give you that much needed afternoon pick-me-up!

We can’t thank Lindsey enough for sharing herself with all of us and look forward to including more crew conversations with you in the future. In addition, if there are any topics or questions you would like us to share or expand more on, please reply to this email with your suggestion and we would be happy to include it!
Hope to see you this week at one of our shops or around town!
